The kids are (gonna be) alright…

Fettes Management confirmed recently an ongoing advisory partnership – and Non Exec involvement – with Glasgow based start-up social enterprise, Yozila!

Yozila! is a fresh, glossy, interactive magazine style web-based activity, career & education portal created to inspire children & youngsters (10 – 18 years) to explore future positive opportunities. Yozila! is supported by the Scottish Enterprise High Growth Scheme and already has a large number of partners having completed a recent pilot in several schools, colleges and Universities across Strathclyde.

It’s aim is to ensure that through an interactive and engaging platform we can educate, inform and assist in the development of children such that they take positive steps, act on the information & make informed decisions that positively affect their future.

Yozila! provides easy to access insights and information on further education courses, future careers and positive activities; delivering biographies of the people involved, information on the huge spectrum of operations locally and providing a video look behind the scenes of day to day work in these areas.

Taking part in positive activity inspires children to make decisions, ask questions and consider a more positive outlook on life. Yozila! offers the opportunity to learn and experience, taking part in many unique, engaging and life changing experiences across Scotland. These experiences deliver a change that could not be achieved singly by others, and changes the children’s outlook; developing their confidence forever.

Yozila! is delivered with key stakeholder partnerships to ensure community wide support for Scotlands future.

In order to get to the next stage of development, and secure matched funding, Yozila! requires £15k of funding. This will ensure that the online platform and smartphone applications can be delivered to the standard required for potential nationwide roll out later this year. If you or your organisation would be interested in supporting Yozila! and being a founding partner in its creation – please get in touch.

Whatever the manner that the government has wrongly “invested” its money in Scotlands future – and with no results to show for the expense, the future for our children certainly looks a lot more encouraging. With Yozila! the kids are gonna be alright…
